Hello. My name is Karen Geryol, and I have been working in the Kenosha Unified School District for 10 years in various positions. Before coming to Kenosha Unified, I worked in Human Resources at Allstate and as a contract specialist for Abbott Labs.
My career started in KUSD as a substitute teacher for various elementary schools in the district. Prior to coming to Brompton, I was an intervention specialist for grades 4 and 5. I have also taught grades 1, 2 and 3. I have been at Brompton for 3 years teaching middle school reading and as the intervention specialist.
In my free time, I enjoy distance running, competing in triathlons, biking, reading, gardening, traveling, snowboarding and hanging out with my family.
As for my educational background, I hold a B.A. of General Studies with a minor in Business from Columbia College of Missouri, a 1-8 teaching license with a minor in History from Carthage College. I am also certified as an on-line e-school instructor for KUSD.
