I am going to start out by saying that I love teaching and working at Brompton! I have been the Physical Education teacher at Brompton since 2008. It is a pleasure getting to know the students at our school and working with them until eighth grade.
I grew up in Michigan and went to public school in Muskegon, MI. I graduated from Western Michigan University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s in Education (Physical Education and Biology). I continued studying at WMU and earned a Master’s in Education Administration.
While I have taught many grade levels and subjects over the years, I really enjoy teaching K-8 Physical Education. The excitement that my students show when they come to my classroom is contagious! My goal as their teacher is to introduce a variety of fitness activities and sport skills. When students leave my classroom my desire is that they had fun, developed or learned a new skill/game and, finally, worked up a good sweat! I am hopeful that I instill an appreciation for lifetime physical fitness and sports for ALL my students.
I moved to Kenosha as a newlywed in 2004. My husband and I have two daughters. As a family we love to hang out downtown and explore all that Kenosha has to offer! In my spare time I like to spend as much time outdoors as possible. I enjoy drinking coffee while reading, hanging out near any body of water, going for a walk/run, home decorating, cooking, baking, playing golf with friends and piddling around in my yard/garden.
